Fines Issued to Corporations

In some instances, when the Court imposes a fine on an individual, the Court will allow the defendant some time to pay the fine.

Whenever a corporation is involved, all fines must be paid immediately-that is upon the pleading of guilt or to a plea bargain. Thus, the corporate defendant must have a corporate visa or master card or cash ready to pay the fine as the Courts do not accept business checks, personal checks, or American Express.

This rule of prompt payment was enacted by the Court system in 2010:
